The Language Resource Centre at Newcastle University has a small team in place, which will be available from Mid-January for virtual school visits, synchronous and asynchronous to promote language learning, and inter-cultural activities in line with the Routes into Languages aims. and produce their own storyboards. They'll join us in the award winning
Open Access Centre of Newcastle University to use the latest on-line
resources and SANAKO language labs.
Other activities include a campus tour, Q&A sessions with student
ambassadors and a taster session in a new language.

Year 9 Roadshow (by Northumbria University)

Students and staff from Northumbria University visit ‘hub’ schools to present their diverse and fun introduction to continued language learning. They aim to give Year 9 (pre-Options) linguists a motivational boost through the exciting range of Q&A sessions, language tasters, quizzes, and a take-home parent/pupil pack.

Programme: 

Taster sessions will be in Chinese and Italian.
