French and football combine in an exciting inter-school 6-a-side tournament called Score in French! The aim of this event is to reinforce French learnt in the classroom by applying it in a football context.

Teachers will be provided with resource packs to use in lessons leading up to the event in order to prepare their players for games conducted in French and French alone! Players will be penalised and could even risk being sent off if they use English on the pitch.

Alongside the games, pupils will also engage in quizzes, short plays, a poster competition and other activities - also all in French. .

An afternoon market place where students can speak with representatives from universities across the South

Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Languages at Work is an event being held on the Isle of Wight to promote the value and importance of language skills in the workplace.  Pupils will be given presentations by guest speakers from various companies who use languages in their work lives and will also take part in some interactive language-based sessions.
