Turkish Immersion

This programme helps prepare mixed ability students for their GCSE Turkish exams through various written and spoken activities. They can be more beneficial when delivered within a university with Turkish-speaking tutors and Language Ambassadors...

Urdu Immersion

This programme is aimed at students who are Urdu speakers but who have not attended any formal classes which could encourage them to take a GCSE in Urdu. It consists of language classes and group work.

Languages and Tourism Future Skills

These workshops highlight progression within languages and demonstrate how language skills can be used within travel and tourism professions.  They can be delivered in collaboration with a university, or adapted for the classroom.

Language Leaders

It utilises pupil-to-pupil influence in order to encourage interest in languages across the entire school. 15 students from across all year groups are selected and trained to organise language related events and activities.

Language and Media Future Skills

In this full or half-day activity, students are offered a first-hand insight into how languages can provide a real advantage for those wishing to work in the media sector. 

Japanese Anime

In this workshop, students are introduced to Japanese language and culture through the world of Japanese animation. This is done through film clips, discussion, and individual and group work.

French on Film

The workshop combines language use with discussion of film style and genre, to get students to think about the lives of young French people today and to make comparisons with their own experiences.
