TRANSEUROPA FESTIVAL Poetry Competition

Routes into Languages Cymru are supporting the Transeuropa Festival. As a contribution to the festival we are running a poetry Competition for AS and A Level students.

The Tanseuropa Festival is a transnational festival in Europe. It will be celebrated simultaneously in 12 cities including Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, Prague and Cardiff. For more information about the festival and the programme, visit

There are 3 categories; French, Spanish and German. Poems need to follow the festival’s theme of SUSTAINABILITY.

Winners and runners-up will be selected from each category by a panel of judges from CILT Cymru, The National Centre for Languages. The closing date for receipt of entries is 8 April 2011

Poems will be displayed at the TRANSEUROPA FESTIVAL at Chapter Arts Centre,
Cardiff on 7th May 2011
PRIZE!
The winners of each category will be given the opportunity to read their poems at the Festival
PRIZE!
Certificates will be awarded to the winners and to those who submit highly
commended entries

Teachers should email entries to routescymru@ciltcymru.org.uk,Subject: Transeuropa Festival Poetry Competition and must ensure that a completed entry form is attached for each entry.
