The Spelling Bee competition is well underway and schools all over the country have been holding their class competitions. To all of you who have provided us with your class winners and runners up, please expect your certificates in the post soon. If you have not yet provided us with this information, please do so as soon as possible.

We hear that you have been having lots of fun learning the words and many different methods are being used in Spelling Bee revision sessions. Ysgol Bryn Elian have been particularly proactive and have even set up an after school Spelling Bee club. Miss Lisa Roberts has very kindly written a piece to share her experience with you all. Visit our News page to read this.
The next stage is the school competition which of course means the introduction of another 50 words. The PowerPoints for these 50 words are now available to download. Good luck!

Based on the submissions we have received, we have been able to create the regional boundaries for the Regional Competitions to be held in March/April. The regions are as follows:

North Wales (Gwynedd & Anglesey, North Ceredigion, Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Wrexham, North Powys)
South Wales (South Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire, Swansea, South Powys, Neath Port Talbot, Bridgend, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Vale of Glamorgan, Merthyr Tydfil, Caerphilly, Cardiff, Blaenau Gwent, Torfaen, Newport, Monmouthshire)

We will contact you as regions to advise to you of the date and location of the competitions.
