The Turkish Immersion Academy is a project which is being offered for students who have been entered for GCSE Turkish (Year 9 - 11).

Each session will consist of two language lessons as well as a chance to meet current SOAS students and find out more about higher education.  Students will also receive information about studying languages at university and other language qualifications.

The aims of the project are to help prepare students for their Turkish examinations (particularly by improving their written skills), to give students the opportunity to experience a university environment and to raise the profile of world languages in general.

The students

The students should be heritage Turkish speakers, who have been entered for Turkish GCSE. Priority should be given to those who would be the first generation in their family to attend university and are taking exams this year.  This is a widening participation event forming part of the Capital L-Routes into Languages project.

Please find the application form below.

The closing date for applications is Wednesday 21st March 2018.
