This activity is aimed at teachers who either teach or who have an interest in dyslexia and modern languages. It consists of three sessions with experienced Associated Lecturers from the Open University in teaching Languages to dyslexic students. The sessions will consist of an initial face-to-face meeting and presentation followed up by two online sessions using OU video-conferencing systems. The sessions are interactive and teachers will engage with hands-on practical activities.

The activity aims to:

-raise awareness of issues related to modern language learning and students with dyslexia with a view to facilitate and support their learning.

-give an opportunity to teachers to develop expertise in relation to the design of teaching and learning language resources for the classroom.

-provide a forum for discussion and peer-support.

There are an initial 10 places available on this course, although there is a possibility of arranging further sessions depending on interest.

A cancellation policy of £5 per place booked will be applied if booked places are not cancelled by Wednesday 20th November or if you do not turn up on the day.
