Teachers, are you looking to engage your new year 7 students in language learning? Are you keen to introduce new vocabulary in a fun and exciting way? Then look no further! Routes into Languages is launching a National Year 7 Spelling Bee in French, German and Spanish on 26th September to coincide with the European Day of Languages. All of the Routes into Languages consortia will be encouraging the year 7 students in their region to take part, so Routes South is on the lookout for the region's best spellers!

The competition has four stages: class competition; school competition; regional final (to be held at the University of Brighton); national final (to be held at Homerton College, University of Cambridge on July 6th 2011).

Brief details can be found in the attached flier and further information, including a teachers' pack with word lists, will be posted here soon. The teachers' pack will also be sent to all those who submit registration forms.

If you would like to register for this event, please complete the registration form included in the flier and return it to Clare Forder at the University of Brighton.
