You’ll learn how to describe a video-clip using the ClipFlair Studio platform. You’ll carry out an activity where you’ll be describing the images of a scene using your own voice. Audio description is within the field of audiovisual translation, and is a revoicing technique that aims to help people with visual impairments to understand video scenes. You’ll learn how to use the ClipFlair software platform to audio describe scenes, it’s been specifically designed for students who love learning languages while having fun!

ClipFlair is a European funded project that has a free access platform for foreign language learning.  The team’s currently developing activities whereby the learner is asked to flair a clip, i.e. to add speech or text to the clip. 

What languages will we work with?

The day will be in English and Spanish. The task will involve working from Spanish into English and vice versa. 

Who should attend?

Y8 students and their accompanying teachers will participate in the activity.
