At Routes into Languages we are very much aware that option time is approaching and pupils are starting to think about their future careers and the subjects they should take to help them achieve their goals.
We are therefore holding an event for the parents of pupils who are trying to make these decisions. The two hour session will provide parents and pupils with valuable information about careers with languages, international opportunities and the benefits of carrying on with languages post Key Stage 3. We are very fortunate to have guest speaker, Carys Pugh D’Auria, Head of Trade and Investment at Cardiff & Co. and a graduate of French from Cardiff University. She will speak about her experiences with languages and how her skills have helped her in the business world.
The session is being hosted by Cardiff University on Saturday, 20th November 2010 and will be held at the Optometry Building between 11:00 and 13:00. Free all day parking is available (pre-booking is required as spaces are limited) and the building is situated within walking distance of the city centre.
Please also note that this event is open to Teachers, Careers Advisors and other professionals who feel that learning about the benefits of studying languages would be useful to them.
