King' College will be carrying out their Languages and Careers taster afternoon on Thursday 3rd July. This event was run very successfully last year so we are making available 100 places for year 9 & 10 pupils from London state schools. The day is a chance for pupils to get a taste of language study at a top university as well as an opportunity to meet current students and alumni to find out where taking languages further could lead. There will be workshops in German, Portuguese, Spanish and French with sessions for complete beginners and those with language experience.
The proposed timetable is below:
1.30-2pm Arrival and Welcome
2-3pm Networking session with students and alumni
3-4pm Sample teaching sessions in French, Spanish, German or Portuguese
4-4.30pm Panel session and close
