We are delighted to continue our Language Ambassadors mentoring scheme in secondary schools in 2015/16. Our undergraduate students from 5 partner universities (Bristol, Bath, Exeter, Plymouth and UWE), some of whom are native French, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian and Mandarin Chinese speakers, come into schools for a maximum of 6 hours per week and work alongside the class teacher providing support during MFL lessons. In the case of the native speakers, they could be used almost as FLAs, whilst the undergraduate students could support individual pupils on a one-to-one basis or work with small groups. All the students will have received appropriate training and will have been DBS checked.
