Routes into Languages North West is delighted to invite you to attend Hurried Steps by Dacia Maraini. Dacia is a celebrated author and playwright and will be coming to MMU to attend the performance of her latest play and to participate in a debate afterwards on the theme of violence against women. Hurried Steps is a powerful 60 minute performance, where eight women’s stories are brought to life.

We would like to offer your pupils the opportunity of engaging fully with this event by inviting them to consider a question, or set of questions, that can be asked the author during the course of the debate. If you wish, the questions can be asked in Italian.

The event will take place on Wednesday 2nd December 2009 and is free of charge. The performance begins at 6pm, with the discussion panel taking place at 7pm. The event will take place in the Manchester Lecture Theatre, All Saints Building, Manchester Metropolitan University.
