Global Communication Taster Event

Saturday 7 May 2016, 10am-1pm

University of Westminster, 309 Regent St, London W1B 2HW

This event is aimed at Year 12 and 13 and at Level 3 students, as well as their teachers.

Are you a good communicator? Are you comfortable in every situation? Have you ever considered that your future career may involve talking with people from all over the word? Would you have the necessary skills to excel in today’s globalised workplace?

Effective communication makes a difference, be it among friends, family, or in the work place. We all need to get better at it.

Come and explore four key features of effective communication on this new course:

1. Global Communication

How can you become a better communicator in today’s internationalised world?

2. Intercultural Communication

How can you communicate effectively with people of different backgrounds with different beliefs?

3. Reading adverts

How do you make sense of all the messages that the media throws at you?

4. Negotiation

How do you arrive at successful outcomes in delicate situations?

We will have a repeat session so that you can choose two of these if you wish.

Please register online at http://globalcommunication2016.eventbrite.co.uk.
