FACE Languages Day: This event is open to language students in Years 10-11 and will be hosted by The University of Manchester in November 2010.

It is designed to highlight the benefits of learning languages through a Careers and Languages talk, and the fun way in which languages can be taught, with a Languages and Film session. Activities will also include a language taster, to show how languages can be taught ab initio at university highlighting the diverse range of language study options available at a higher level.

The event is hoped to boost students’ enthusiasm for language learning so that they continue with their languages to A Level and beyond. This is an excellent opportunity to show language students the variety of languages on offer; and the variety of fun ways students can learn languages.

This event has a nominal fee of £3 per pupil to cover some of the costs. You will be asked to bring a cheque with you to the event, or we can arrange to invoice you before the event.

If you would like to attend, please register as soon as possible to reserve your places. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis. Unfortunately it will not be possible to provide lunch on this occasion so students should bring a packed lunch, or money to purchase lunch in the cafeteria.
