Following feedback and specific requests from a number of language teachers in the area, we are organising for the 3rd year our workshop for A2 students (Spanish) on how to write an essay in the Foreign Language for the A Level examination (Culture/Film essay question).
 

In the second term, we will organise another one on Almodovar (Volver/ Todo sobre mi madre/ Mujeres al borde de un ataque de nervios [date tbc.]
 

Please note that places are limited and that the event will only run with a minimum of 50 students in each workshop (booking and payment are required before attending).

Fee: £10 per student, free for accompanying teacher.

1.00-1.30 Registration
1.30-2.20 How to write an essay on film
2.20-2.30 Short break
2.30-3.20 First practice on character study using one film
3.20-4.20 Second practice on analysing a theme
a) The consequences of the Spanish Civil War in Spanish society
c) Women in Spanish society
d) Memory and childhood
4.20-4.30 Conclusion and questions

Note: In order to make the most of these workshops, the students should have watched the film prior to attending this event.
