Canterbury Christ Church University invites year 8 and year 9 students who are considering taking a Modern Language to GCSE, and Year 10 students who are currently part-way through their GCSE Modern Language course, to our first E-Bac Transition Conference in Summer 2012.

Over the course of the day, students will work collaboratively in a mixture of interactive workshops and seminars which will be led by University tutors, PGCE MFL trainee teachers and by Year 10 students. The intention is to challenge and extend able Year 10 linguists, working alongside PGCE trainees and university tutors, and to provide an opportunity for students in years 8-9 considering GCSE in a modern language to have support from a KS4 student.

Prizes will be awarded for the best workshops and seminars. Students will also have the chance to ask questions of the PGCE MFL trainee teachers and university tutors.
