The German department at Bristol University is inviting teachers of German and students studying German to attend a Christmas Lecture on Monday 7 December at 6pm
Professor Nicola McLelland, University of Nottingham  with special 'Meet the Lecturer' event for school teachers and pupils beginning at 4.30 pm.

Very advanced notice for the Germanists: our annual Christmas lecture will this year be given by Professor Nicola McLelland, who will be speaking  on 'Language Learning, the English and the Germans, 1500-2000' -  a topic which will appeal to those engaged in language learning and teaching in 2015!

Professor McLelland's book on this subject was published earlier  this year (for more information see http://www.harrassowitz-verlag.de/title_832.ahtml) and we are delighted to be able to welcome her to Bristol to tell us more. The lecture will be preceded by a special 'Meet the Lecturer' event with tea / coffee and cake for school teachers and pupils, and followed by our traditional Lebkuchen and Gluehwein reception.

All very welcome, further details will be confirmed nearer the time.
