Professor Michael Kelly

Programme Director

Mike is currently Head of the School of Humanities at the University of Southampton, and is strongly committed to encouraging collaborative projects in research and education that bring together specialists from several disciplines and from several countries. He reckons that directing the Routes programme involves wearing a lot of hats.

Dr Angela Gallagher-Brett

Senior Academic Coordinator (Routes)

Angela is a language education specialist. She has a PhD in Applied Linguistics (Motivation in speaking) and is an experienced language teacher, academic developer and researcher. She has particular interests in language learning motivation and anxiety and transition from school to university. She oversees the Routes programme for LLAS and is a member of the Routes Evaluation Working Group.

Claire Wilkins

Claire joined the Routes team in May 2007 having previously worked in the health service after university. Her organisational skills are being put to good use by all the Routes partners. Claire's good humour keeps the team ticking over.

Dr Erika Corradini

Academic Coordinator

Erika has a background in modern foreign languages and linguistics and has worked as education developer at LLAS for the past few years. She is involved in the production of teaching and learning resources for the classroom as well as materials for the promotion of languages in schools. For Routes into Languages, she supports the National Networks for Interpreting and Translation.

Laurence Georgin

Academic Coordinator

After finishing her MA in English language at the University of Nancy, France in 2002, Laurence has worked in a variety of environments including customer relations, project management and Higher Education management. She currently coordinates LLAS development and is part of the Routes into Languages sustainability group.
