Summary
The Music and Languages day (French) takes place at Hull University, in conjunction with Cottingham High School.
The event is a repeat of last week's Music and Languages day in German.
Sessions include a vocal warm up, linking music and the rhythms of the French Language to get the day started, followed by two sessions focusing on listening to French songs and raps, including working out the lyrics in the target language.
Lunch consists of a light buffet with a tour of the campus, including our new and impressive Language Learning Centre.
The afternoon rounds off with focus on practical music and French activities. The pupils will perform a piece in French linked to research about a particular French band. The day aims to link the cross-curricular topics of Music and Languages, in a way which has not been achieved before.
