With support from Film: 21st Century Literacy and the UK Film Council in 2009, the Cornerhouse collaborated with Routes into Languages North West to offer their popular Projector sessions in COMMUNITY LANGUAGES. Students and teachers of Arabic, Urdu, Mandarin and Italian enjoyed a fantastic series of FREE cinema-based study sessions and Creative Workshops, using film and digital technology to develop and promote the study of community and lesser taught languages.
The collaboration is continuing this year with more sessions planned throughout 2011-12. Keep an eye on our events page for more information.
