NWULA Languages NoW!

This event is now fully booked

Summary

Languages NoW! is designed to encourage year 8 pupils to consider languages when choosing their GCSE options. The day will illustrate the advantages of studying foreign languages, including looking at the personal and professional benefits of language learning.

During the event students will attend a “Why Study Languages” seminar and workshop sessions. The pupils will all get a chance to participate in a language taster to try out a language they have not learnt before. They will also meet with native speakers of the language they are currently learning in school and will have a chance to participate in a question and answer session to practice their language skills.

Also, for the first time we will be holding cultural workshops where pupils will be able to glimpse a snippet of a foreign culture, adding an element of exotic fun to the day.

This event is free of charge and it is anticipated that it will be booked up quickly. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis, so please reserve your places as soon as possible. As in past years, we anticipate places to fill up very quickly.

We will be contacting the schools who had already booked onto this event, to see if they are still interested. If there are any spaces left, we will then invite other schools to join.
