The Institute of Linguists Educational Trust holds a prize giving ceremony each year to celebrate the achievements of its examination candidates.
One prize is the Threford Memorial Cup which is given to institutions or individuals who have done the most to foster the study of languages. The prize is presetned at a ceremony in London in November, and the winner of the Threford Memorial Cup is chosen by a panel who now invite nominations for the 2009 prize-giving ceremony.
