Engaging Tomorrow's Interpreters, 18 June 2010

On 18 June 2010 around 50 guests gathered at the University of Westminster’s Pavillion for the NNI’s online resources forum, to discover the materials developed by the NNI for language teaching and motivation and raising awareness about interpreting as a career. The afternoon saw presentations by representatives from the European Commission and the European Parliament.

Institute of Translation & Interpreting announces May 2011 conference

 ITI Conference 2011 is the flagship conference of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting, and marks ITI's 25th anniversary. The event is will take place at Conference Aston, Birmingham on 7 and 8 May 2011.

 

NNI/NNT South England and Wales careers conference

Date: 23rd March 2010

On March 16th over 200 students attended the joint NNI and NNT South
England and Wales careers conference held in the historic Wills
Memorial Hall. The event was jointly organized by the Universities of
Bath, Portsmouth and Westminster in collaboration with the University
of Bristol who hosted the event.

Routes into Language Careers (Yorkshire and the Humber) - 24 February 2009, University of Leeds

The second major National Network for Interpreting (NNI) and Leeds Routes into Languages collaborative event organised in conjunction with the University of Leeds Careers Centre took place in Leeds on 24 February 2009. As with all our events, the purpose of the day was to raise awareness of the range of varied and exciting career opportunities open to linguists and to inspire young people to continue studying languages at all levels. The event was open to regional school and university students who firstly had the opportunity to meet a number of interesting employers at our Careers Fair.
