CULP4SC China Days

Students on CULP4SC programmes have the opportunity to consolidate and extend their language learning during Intensive days either at their school or at one of the partner universities. Students from Parkside Federation experienced two such days
at Cambridge University Language Centre and enjoyed a busy and engaging schedule. They talked about traditional Chinese festivals, Twelve Animal Signs, and Chinese tea.

Spelling Bee Final was Buzzing!!!

An electrifying Spelling Bee regional semi-final and final took place on Wednesday 7th July when 50 year 7 pupils gathered at Comberton Village College to fight it out for the Spanish, German and French titles. In both rounds the tension was punctuated with nail-biting tie-breakers

CULP4SC Goes from Strength to Strength...

There has been a huge surge in interest in language learning through the Cambridge University Language Programme for Schools and Colleges (CULP4SC) over the past year. The possibility of learning Mandarin through RiL CULP particularly excited students from year 8 to year 13. There are now more than 15 learning partnerships for Mandarin across the region. A healthy uptake of boys and girls are embracing the challenge of learning this dynamic language spoken by over 850 million people and in so doing are developing fresh, cultural perspectives on the world around them.

Stowmarket Double Club Star Singers!

A sunny day in June saw our Routes East Stowmarket High German Double Club pupils travel down to the Emirates Stadium in London with their teacher, Jenny Turner, to take part in an exciting Goethe Institut initiative.
