A GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR CROSS-CURRICULAR COLLABORATION!
Teaching and learning languages within the new secondary curriculum works BEST when it…
- goes beyond the classroom and is about ‘doing’ as well as ‘knowing’
- deals with engaging and meaningful topics
- teaches about other countries and cultures
- encourages active learning and creativity
- emphasises links with other subjects
- focuses on skills
(Rachel Hawkes, Regional Support Advisor , Association for Language Learning)
Join us at Anglia Ruskin for sessions led by Bev Whiteside of the Youth Sport Trust to explore ways of combining language and sport in your school. This will include case studies, active examples and action planning. To make full use of the day each school is required to send both a language teacher and a PE teacher
