Wales, Europe & the World highlights Cardiff and Wales’s European and global links and helps your pupils to find out more about working, studying, and travelling in Europe and the wider world, whilst using their languages to enable them to get the most out of the experience. Open their eyes to a world of opportunity…
This FREE one-day fair and exhibition will also offer a range of information sessions and workshops aimed at 14-19 year-olds, featuring music, dance, careers, language tasters and useful information about studying and working abroad. Combating Social Exclusion and Poverty will be our theme for 2010, and there will be plenty of ‘hands on’ activities to keep everyone busy during the day! A FREE buffet lunch will be provided.
The year 2010 is the European Union Year Against Poverty and Social Exclusion (EU 2010) and it will be our key theme throughout this 2010 Wales, Europe and the World event in Wrexham. Special sessions will be dedicated to issues such as human rights and the EU’s efforts to fight poverty, both at home and abroad. Other sessions will cover related topics such as student exchanges, employability skills and language learning. This event will be part of the series of EU 2010 activities being organised in Wales, by – amongst others – the Welsh Assembly Government, the UK Government and the European Commission.
